TAB: A

TAB A: Modular Tableset explores the relationship between 2D and 3D form through visual art, functionality, and collapsible design. It rejects the notion that small space-oriented furniture is meant to be hidden when not in use and welcomes the idea that each element should always be visible. The darker wood tabs act as a permanent index of the 2D/3D logic while supporting the movable panels, which can be constructed and deconstructed as needed, changing the wall component as they’re moved. Because of TAB A’s modular nature, pieces can be duplicated to accommodate for different scenarios or even infinitely repeated.
